Got Game? Table

Furniture for my apartment!

Tools: Wood, Screws, a chess board, and a little love

Brief: Designed with my girlfriend, Jacque, we made this table for the sole purpose of filling up my new apartment while also giving my guests a thing to do to pass the time. We used year-old plywood from past hurricanes as the top of the table, which means this is a super hurricane proof table. It is also collapsable so that it would fit in the mini-van for the drive up.

Visual Studies Process Book

Class Assignment

Tools: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, some staples

Brief: At the end of my Visual Studies class, we had to create a process book showing our linear progress in the course.

Juxtaposition

Class Assignment

Tools: Adobe Photoshop, a wood frame

Brief: We had to combine two unrelated objects and either merge them together or include them in a composition.

Tying Ideas to Art

Class Assignment

Tools: Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, glue, patience

Brief: For my Global Perspectives class, we had to write a paper relating ideas we learned in class to certain pieces of art. I decided that the format of a standard essay format would not convey the project well. I created a 12 page book that includes pull-out pictures of each of the artwork that is being discussed so that you may read about it and still view the art, no matter what page you are on.

Promo Brochure

Cutout Hair Salon (fictitious)

Tools: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, GoLive

Brief: For class we had to create a company and then design a promotional item for them based on patterns that we previously created in class. With this project, I wanted to create the feel of a hair salon without having any photographs of people's hair being cut.
